Subject: Deliver presentation -- City Council mental health subcommittee
March 27, 2009

Good morning,

Several BHAN partners attended the City Council hearing last Friday
regarding mental health services in Greater New Orleans. I provided the
Council members with an overview of systemic strengths and challenges as
identified by BHAN partners in previous workgroups. Above all, the
dynamic dialogue addressed the closing of New Orleans Adolescent
Hospital.

Dr. Rigamer and I are planning to convene a BHAN plenary session soon to
provide a forum for continuing the dialogue with the Office of Mental
Health. As soon as I have a date and venue secured, I will send out
notices to all our colleagues.

All the best,

Sarah
